Cookies and device storage
Last updated October 25, 2026
Cookies and similar storage are small pieces of information a website keeps in your browser. BuildTrack uses them to keep you signed in and to work in the field when signal drops. It doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Needed for BuildTrack to work
These are always on, because sign-in and offline work depend on them. They're never used for advertising or shared with anyone.
- bt_sessionKeeps you signed in. Can't be read by scripts on the page.Kept: Until you sign out; 12 hours, or 30 days with "keep me signed in"
- buildtrack:cache:…A copy of your projects on this device, so screens open with weak or no signal.Kept: Until you sign out, or replaced on the next sync
- buildtrack:outbox:…Changes made offline, waiting to send.Kept: Until they reach the server
- buildtrack-uploadsPhotos taken offline, waiting to upload.Kept: Until they reach the server
- bt-static-… / bt-pages-…Saved app screens and icons so BuildTrack opens without signal.Kept: Replaced on each update; screens cleared on sign-out
- buildtrack:install-hint-dismissedRemembers you closed the "add to home screen" tip.Kept: Until you clear site data
Usage statistics (optional)
Usage tracking is turned off on this site, so there are none. If that changes, this page will list them and you'll be asked first.
Clearing them
Signing out removes your session and the saved copy of your projects from that device. You can also clear BuildTrack's data in your browser settings (look for "site data" or "cookies"). Do that only when you're online, or changes you made offline will be lost.
